Tate Out For Blackpool Game

Alan Tate has been ruled out of the final game of the season because of an eye injury.

He suffered the black eye in the away game at Carlisle after an accidental collision with Garner.

Despite regaining most of his vision in his right eye, a club doctor has advised him not to play, Tate said: 'I'm devastated,''

'I was desperate to play.

'But the doctor told me that the eye is still bleeding in the socket area and if I have another bump it could come detached.

'The optician also confirmed that I have scratched part of the eyeball which is giving me blurred vision.''

Butler is also likely to miss the final but there's good news for Martinez as Painter should make a return after missing the Carlisle game with a leg injury.

Amankwaah will do a job hopefully as his replacement but at least Painter should make a return, that's good news.
