Tate Hopes To Be Fit For Final Game

Alan Tate is hoping he'll be able to face Blackpool on Saturday after suffering a head injury away at Carlisle.

Tate suffered a blow to the head during the game as Garner attempted an over head kick.

The full back was forced to miss training today as his eye is stitched up, black and almost completely closed.

He said: 'At the moment I can't see a lot out of it but I'm confident it will be okay for Saturday.

'Their player went for an overhead kick. I could see it coming, but I had to put my head in there because he was inside the box with a good chance of scoring.

'But it was worth it to come away with the three points and keep things going for the final game against Blackpool.

hope painters back too. i reckon we need him saturday more than we do tatey. amankwaah can do a job whereas i'm not confident williams/austin can at left back. ones unreliable, unpredictable and vulnerable and the other one's too slow.
