Duffy Interested In Staying A Swan

On-loan striker Darryl Duffy says he'll definately consider staying with the Swans in the Summer.

The Hull City striker has certainly made a quick impact at the Liberty Stadium, scoring 4 goals in starts for the Swans.

Manager Roberto Martinez has announced he's interested in signing him permanently and Duffy himself has heaped praise on his boss: ''Roberto Martinez is a top bloke to work for. He`s a nice guy and I love playing for him.

''He looks after you and he`s a manager who really knows his football.

''He isn`t interested in any long-ball stuff. He wants to play the game on the deck and that suits me perfectly.

''His training sessions are always enjoyable because we`re always doing something different.''

He also showed a high interest in staying at the Liberty Stadium and added: "I`ve not given much thought to next season - but if the gaffer wants to sign me then I`d definitely consider it.

"This loan spell has put me in the shop window. It`s a massive chance for me.

"I would be interested in staying at Swansea, definitely.

"I really enjoy living in the city. My girlfriend, Claire, has moved down with me and she loves it down here as well.

"I`m going to give it my all for Swansea in these last few games and we`ll see what comes from that."

After his impressive goalscoring form with the Swans, Hull may be tempted to give him a chance next season but that would probably depend on what League they're in next year as they battle against relegation from the Championship.

First team football will certainly be a big appeal to Duffy to stay while he probably want be guaranteed a first team place if he returns to the Tigers.
