Martinez's Views On Bristol Game

Roberto Martinez says his side are good enough to play in the Championship as his side could break make or break their season on Saturday.

Swansea travel to 2nd placed Bristol City on Saturday and play Port Vale at home on Monday.

Martinez said: 'I'm stating the obvious, but the last six games are now very important,''

'The Easter weekend could be crucial to our hopes and aspirations.

'The players I've got here are good enough to play in the Championship, but at the moment it's just a dream. What we've got to do is make that dream become a reality.

'We've taken 13 points from the last six games and if we take another 13 from our last six then I think it will be enough.''

But with Bristol City riding high in second place and determined to secure an automatic promotion place, Roberto knows it's going to be far from easy at Ashton Gate.

'Bristol are one of the best sides in the division,'' adds Roberto. 'But so are we and Saturday's game should produce a fantastic advert for League One football.''

Midfielder Leon Britton also added: 'There's going to be a fantastic atmosphere at Ashton Gate,''

'They've got a huge fan base and there's already a big crowd expected.

'But we'll be taking over a thousand with us - and it would have been a lot more had it not been for the fact that everyone has to go on the official coaches - and I'm sure they'll get right behind us as usual.''

'A draw on Saturday may not be a bad result, but only if we beat Port Vale on Monday. I think you've got to take the two games together and four to six points will be a good return.''

Defeat at Bristol City and we can definately rule out the play-offs. A win and we're right back in it. Lets hope we can keep 11 players on the pitch this week and Trundle and Duffy play up front, I think that would be an interesting partnership up front. I think a draw is all we can manage though.
