Swansea Complete Duffy Signing

Swansea City have completed the loan signing of Hull striker Darryl Duffy until the end of the season.

The young striker has been out of favour at the Championship club and has hardly featured for the Tigers since his 250,000 club record-signing in January 2006 from Falkirk.

With just one striker available to Martinez (Abbott) with Trundle (banned) and Akinfenwa (broken leg), I'd expect Duffy will go straight into the starting line-up to face Northampton at home on Saturday.

Martinez was delighted with the signing and said: "I'm delighted to bring Darryl on board,''

"He is someone with a fantastic goalscoring record.

"His pace and clever movement brings an extra dimension to the squad which could be vital for such a crucial run in.''

Someone with a bit of pace is what we need. An average of 1 goal in every 2 games is very impressive.
