Cheltenham Want To Sign O'Leary

Cheltenham manager John Ward says he is hoping to sign midfielder Kristian O'Leary permaneantly in the Summer.

He had a successful load spell at Whaddon Road around Christmas time and Ward is hoping that Martinez will let him leave in the Summer.

Ward said: 'We need some players of proven experience and ability, like Kristian O'Leary,' said Cheltenham chairman Paul Baker.

'I would like to bring him to the club next season because he would do a good job for us.'

Kristian O'Leary is in his testimonial season and well deserved for such a loyal player for the Swans. He played well for Cheltenham up until the New Year and whilst there they had some good results and he scored for them. I believe he may not be kept on by the Swans for another season even if we do not win promotion via the play-offs. But another club can see his value to their team.

why would we get rid of o'leary .... since he has been back he has been 1 of our best players

I think Martinez may let him go. he's completed 10 years at the club so what next for a player of his expirience. he wont be content with sitting on the bench whilst many supporters forget his tremendous service to the club and start to see him as a fringe player and nothing more. A move would do him good to end his career at somewhere like Whaddon Road where he would be seen as an integral part of the team. No better way to hang up your boots in my opinion.
