Swansea vs Chesterfield

Roberto Martinez will be keen to see his side build on last weekend's impressive win at Tranmere when Chesterfield visit the Liberty Stadium tonight.

TEAM NEWS:

SWANSEA:

Martinez has just one senior striker available in Pawel Abbott as Trundle is suspended and Akinfenwa is out with a broken leg.

The Swans boss will have to decide whether to start young Jones or push one of the midfielders into attack.

Roberto also has Kevin Austin, Richard Duffy and Shaun MacDonald available again after injury.

CHESTERFIELD:

Caretaker-manager Lee Richardson is now in charge of the first-team following the departure of Roy McFarland.

Alan O'Hare (foot), Adam Smith (knee) and Jamie Ward (hamstring) are all out injured.

Peter Holmes will also not be featuring after returning to Luton following a 2-month loan spell.

VIEWS AHEAD OF THE GAME:

MARTINEZ:

'While it was a great win at Tranmere, it doesn't change a thing,''

'We've got nine games to go and we haven't done anything yet.

'What's important is that we maintain that level of performance tonight and for the rest of the season. If we do that then the points will follow.

'The players have shown character before and now they've got to do it again. This is another dangerous fixture for us because the table doesn't show Chesterfield's true strength. They've got a lot of experience in their side and on their day they can beat anyone.

'We've got to make sure it's not their day tomorrow. We've got to go out there and enjoy ourselves, but we've also got to know how to win the game.''

RICHARDSON:

'In my opinion Swansea are one of the better teams in the League and also have a solid defensive unit, and really they should have gone up last season. They have spent a lot of money and they should be in the play offs at least in a few weeks time.

'We are going into the game in a positive frame of mind despite being massive underdogs. We are still looking for the three points and a clean sheet.''
