Pratley Out For The Season

Pratley Out For The Season

Captain Darren Pratley is set to miss the rest of the season as he requires surgery on his damaged shoulder.

It comes as a blow to new boss Roberto Martinez as he already had 9 players out for Tuesday's game at Rotherham.

Pratley suffered the injury in the home game against Scunthorpe and club physio Richard Evans said it's worse than they expected: 'Initially we thought he would be out for a month,''

'But after an MRI scan it was revealed that he had torn structures in the shoulder joint which will need an operation to repair.

'Instead of the original month, it now looks as if it will be two to three months of rehab.''

Martinez already has a long list of players out - Owain Tudur Jones, Darren Way, Kevin Austin, Izzy Iriekpen, Adebayo Akinfenwa, Steve Watt, Garry Monk, Shaun MacDonald and Richard Duffy while Dennis Lawrence and Kevin Amankwaah are also suspended for Saturday's home game against Leyton Orient.
