Martinez: 'Promotion Still Our Aim'

Martinez: 'Promotion Still Our Aim'

New boss Roberto Martinez says promotion is still our aim this season despite watching his side suffer another defeat.

He said: 'Promotion is still our aim this season,''

'We still have 12 games and 10 weeks to go and we've got to pick up as many points as possible. Come the end of the season our aim is to be in a position where we can achieve promotion.

'We need to find the hunger and desire to win games and be successful.''

The Spaniard seems delighted to have returned to the club he loves and he added: 'When I left last season it was like losing the love of your life and you always want to have them back,'

'Swansea is a club that I love. It is a fantastic challenge that was too big to turn down.

'I know the squad, the football club and I know the fans and their expectations. I can guarantee is that I'm going to give 24 hours of my day to this club, so maybe I can tick the other boxes to cover the lack of experience.

'I'm well prepared and I will give everything I've got to take Swansea to the next level.''
