54% Wanted Jackett To Stay

After a recent poll on the site, 54% voted that they wanted Jackett to remain at the club.

At the time of his departure, many fans were critical of Jackett after a poor run of results as well as lacklustre performances on the pitch.

Jackett said his decisions for leaving was because he felt he didn't have the complete support from the fans, the board and the media.

We then asked you for your views on his departure. Here's how you voted:

Happy he's gone! 38%

Wanted him out but not until end of season 8%

Dissapointed...Wanted him to stay 54%

Martinez has now come in as his replacement. Personally I think he's far too inexperienced, even more so than Jackett was and I definately think the club have made the wrong decision.

Despite having much respect within the dressing room and from the board, this may work against him as I'm not entirely sure he'll be able to be strict enough with the players. Jackett never seemed to show the guts to drop the favourites such as Robinson, Tate and Trundle and I'm not sure if Martinez will be able to either.

So what are your views on our new manager? Was it the right decision? Vote now on the right >>

Martinez would be possibly a good no. 2 intermediating the communication between the experienced manager and the dressing room. He's definetely not the right option for the boss.

im not sure about that and what is it with people and that word experiance. a lot of experianced managers have taken the job and have screwed the pooch so why ont people give him a chance just because one manager has got more experiance than another dosent necerserily make him better. and with peopple putting him down all the time he hassent got a chance. he hassent even taken over yet his first full day is on monday nd peopple are judging him already it's bloody pathetic.

oh your a bight one you are one of the boo boys, and you having a go at people who are giving there view on who they want as boss, and they are more than deserve that . i did not want kj to go like the rest of 54%, he done a great job for us. and what you have said about him you wanted him out for a long time. how long you going to give martinez??? 3,4,5,games then you and your gang of boo boys will start again. now thats pathetic!! sort it out mate yo full of *****.

there yo go again shouting your mouth off again. for a start if i was a boo boy wouldent i be slaging martinez off and the board for appionting him and am i?............ no im not its quite the oposite mate im backing him all the way. and how am i having a go at people about there opinion go on the forums and ask people if they think i do but no i think you will hang around the main site and abuse everything i say like sad *****. all i stated was to get behind the new manager because if we dont he hsent got a chance and experiance is'nt evrything now thats as insulting as a box full of kittens. QUOTE "he done a great job for us." i havent said any difforent he did do a good job for us but his time came and went his tactics were shambolic to say the least and some of his decisions on and off the the pitch were terable in regaurds to subs, and trasfers. for instence we would be 2 nill down and he would bring a bloody defender on when we were chasing te game. and look at some of the players he has brought in just to name a few Gary Fiskin, Ijah Anderson, Kevin Amankwah, dennis oli, Garry Monk, bloody terable. christ there was one time when he was thinking of bringing in glin hurst and he dident think tundle would'nt be of any more value anyone rebember that. and martinez i my books has more in his litle finger than jackett will ever have and that includes passion, flair, detemanation, motvation and an understanding of the game that a very little amount of people can achive. He IS the right man for the job and if things go his way he WILL bring the "SWANSEA" style of play back to the club that of wich we had when tosh took over oh and thats another person who is backing him."yo full of *****" my arse.
