Saunders & Martinez Interviewed

Reports have been made recently that the club have interviewed both Roberto Martinez and Dean Saunders for the manager job.

Chester have given Martinez a deadline of 2pm on Friday to give them a decision on whether he's interested in taking the Swansea job or not.

Chester's chairman Stephen Vaughan said: 'I hope the situation surrounding Roberto is sorted out quickly.

'I hope Swansea will inform us quickly whether or not they wish to take their interest further, because this state of limbo is having an unsettling effect on Chester and it creates problems for Mark Wright and his preparations for our coming games.'


Dean Saunders has also been interviewed apparantly and whether there is a possibility of him forming a managerial partnership with Martinez remains unknown.

Nugent says he's unsure on whether a new manager will be brought in prior to Tuesday's game at Rotherham, he said: 'I'm not sure if I'll still be in charge for Rotherham on Tuesday. Results may change things, I don't know, but I'm just trying to get a win at Yeovil.'
