Saunders: 'My Heart Says Swansea'

Today's News of the World is reporting that Dean Saunders has emerged as one of the favourites to take over as Swansea manager.

According to today's paper, the club has contacted the former Wales and Swansea striker at least twice over the new manager job as the Swans are keen to conduct a formal interview with him.

Saunders has told friends: 'His head is saying no but his heart is saying yes because he is still a Swansea lad. Dean believes it is the right time to be a manager.

'He's got a lot of experience having played at the highest level and has all the coaching qualifications.

'If he is going into management for the first time he wants to go to the right club which is why he's interested in talking to Swansea again.'

Saunders also admitted that he had spoken with the Swans and added: ''I am going to speak to them again but that's all I can say at the moment.''

Think about it. Is Martinez fully capable to be the manager? I don't doubt he's an inspiring person, a good leader but the manager must have a lot more. Though Saunders is the future rookie-manager, too he's got more experience and definitely more contacts throughout the leagues. Martinez would be a good option as the his assistant.

how are we before jackett came here he had been manager (for 4 mounths i might add) at watford plus an assistantmanager job thee an an assistant managers job at qpr. saaunders as been assistant manager at galatsery and newcstle and hes got more qualifacations than jackett so whos got more experiance. saunders in my opinion and hes got ahell of a lot more links and contcts than jackett has. i think he would defo take us forward.
