Pre-Match Stats: Arsenal vs Swansea City

Pre-match stats ahead of this Saturday`s game at the Emirates as Swansea City look for their fourth away win against Arsenal in 7 Premier League games.

Team News:

Arsenal have no fresh injury concerns to worry about. Defenders Calum Chambers and Shkodran Mustafi have returned to training and could feature in the matchday squad.

Swansea have a trio of key players missing, Martin Olsson (hamstring),
Wilfried Bony (hamstring) and Renato Sanches (thigh) are definitely out.

Our record at Arsenal

Our record at Arsenal is pretty good, and it`s only in our first Premier League season and last season have we failed to pick up points at Arsenal.

We`ve won half of the 6 games played there so far, drawing 1.

Goals at Arsenal involving the Swans

There`s been an average of 2.67 goals per game at Arsenal involving the Swans, roughly the overall average in all Premier League games involving the Swans.

The Swans have scored more than they`ve conceded away at Arsenal believe it or not, scoring 9 and conceding 7.

Scorelines at Arsenal

There`s been a different scoreline in each of the six games at Arsenal so far, can we expect another different one on Saturday?

Quick stats

Arsenal have won three of the past four meetings (home and away), scoring 12 goals.

The Gunners have won 9 successive league games at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal have scored 22 goals during that run and kept seven clean sheets.

Arsenal haven't lost a Premier League home match since they were beaten 2-1 by Watford in January.

Swansea have taken 9 points from 6 away matches, with their only defeat coming against West Ham.

Swansea have conceded only once in their last five away league games dating back to May.

Swansea have scored just 6 league goals this season; only Crystal Palace (2) have fewer.

The Swans have scored 11 own goals since the start of the 2015-16 season, more than twice as many as any other side. Federico Fernandez has scored three of them.

Prediction

It`s hard to look at anything other than a comfortable Arsenal win. They`re in fine form at home, and are defensively pretty sound in their new three-at-the-back system. The Swans meanwhile are getting worse, and while I expect Clement to adopt a defensive, "park the bus" game plan, I can`t see it bringing the same results as it did at Spurs (0-0). I expect Arsenal will eventually break us down and go on and win rather comfortably. 2-0 Home win.
