Swansea City Agree Painter Fee

Swansea City have agreed a fee worth up to £75,000 for Birmingham fullback Marcos Painter.

Despite Painter yet to agree personal terms, the Swans are confident that the deal will be completed before the transfer window closes tomorrow.

The Swans will pay Birmingham £25,000 now and an extra £25,000 in 12 months time. A third payment of £25,000 will be paid if we get promotion to the Championship during Painter's stay with us.

The 20 year-old is expected to sign a 2 and a half year contract.

That sounds like a good bit of business by Jackett as Painter looks like a very promising player.

I was expecting a fee in the region of £100-150,000 but for £75,000, it's a bargain!

probabley £1.000 to £2.000 quid a week he has come from a championship culb so you got to keep that in mind but he is still a youngster so you never know.

Sounds cheap for any player these days, especially from a higher division.
