Painter Hoping For Permanant Stay

Painter Hoping For Permanant Stay

Birmingham City left back Marcos Painter is hoping his loan spell will be made permanent.

The two clubs are currently negotiating a fee to complete the move before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.

Painter said:'The sooner the better for me,'

'I'm enjoying my time here. I know that I have been injured more than I have been before but it is good to be playing.

'It is nice to wake up on a Saturday morning and know that in the afternoon you will be playing rather than training with the reserves.

'I'm still living in a hotel at the moment but I have been looking at a few places and as soon as the deal is done I will look to move out.'

'This third month is more about giving the two clubs time to sort out a deal,'

'Hopefully it can be sorted. I still have two-and-a-half years left on my contract at Birmingham if things don't work out.

'Who knows what can happen in football. Obviously I would like to sign.'

Great acquisition if the deal comes off. Williams has got better but he's not the solution at left back. While Austin doesnt have tim eon his side. Painter is a Championship quality player.
