Swansea Extend Painter Loan

Swansea City have again extended Marcos Painter's loan by an extra month with a view to a permanant move.

The loan spell will end on February 14th as both clubs are still discussing a permanant deal for the full back.

The Birmingham defender will miss tonight's home match against Gillingham though because of a groin strain.

Blues boss Steve Bruce said: "It's something we're discussing with Swansea,"

"He's gone down there and done very well. He's playing every week and that's what he needs. There could be a possibility that we do something."

"He's into his second month on loan and we will probably look to extend it to a third, then take it from there,"
