Swansea Sign Cardiff Goalkeeper

Swansea Sign Cardiff Goalkeeper

Swansea City have signed Cardiff City 'keeper Mark Howard on loan as cover for the injured Andy Oakes.

The young keeper joined our rivals in July from Premiership side Arsenal. He joins the Swans on a 1-month loan deal.

He said: 'Everything happened so quickly,''

'I was only asked about going on loan at 9.45am this morning and an hour later I was down training with Swansea.

'I didn't have any hesitation in signing. As a young 'keeper it's important for me to get as much experience as possible and take my chance if it comes.

'I enjoyed training with the Swansea lads this morning. In fairness, they didn't give me much stick - well not yet anyway!'

The 20 year-old has played just one senior game for the Bluebirds, a Carling Cup match against Barnet.

He will go straight onto the subs bench for tomorrow's game against Nottingham Forest.
