Jackett Rejects £300,000 Fallon Bid

Kenny Jackett has rejected Plymouth's £300,000 bid for striker Rory Fallon.

His former colleague, Ian Holloway put in a bid that equalled what we paid for him a year ago but the Swansea boss says he's not looking to sell players.

He said: 'We've had a bid of £300,000 for Rory Fallon from Plymouth and we've turned it down,'

'That's it really. It's not a situation I want to pursue because I don't want to lose Rory. I'm just trying to concentrate on winning promotion by working with the players we've got and adding where we need to.

'Right now I'm more interested in my treatment room than the transfer market. My eyes are on which of our injured players are on the way back.'

'I told him there had been a bid and that I'd turned it down.

'It's a compliment for Rory that a Championship club has come in for him.

'But when I told him I'd rejected the offer, I think his exact words were: 'That's cool'.'

I can imagine many fans who are usually on Fallon's back every game will be dissapointed at Jackett's decision but we can't afford to lose strikers at this vital point in the season.

If a replacement was guaranteed in the transfer window then I would have hoped we'd have accepted the offer, but it's looking increasingly unlikely that we're going to sign a decent striker permanantly in the transfer window.

If it's true he's turned down £300k for Fallon that must be his worst decision as Swansea manager. And there is a lot of competition for that title!!! I'd have sold him for half that.

This just proves Jackett has no idea what he's doing, Just will not admit he's wrong, we do not need managers like this in charge of our team, he's a ******** disgrace
cyjax
knew he'd reject it. see my post in the forum :P

Jackett will not admit to being wrong about Fallon . Huw Jenkins should have stepped in and sold the Donkey oops i meant Fallon , he can't hit a barn door from 2 yards so ship him out quickly .

He's a good player but he doesn't compliment our style of football at all!! If we knew of a replacement in place then I think maybe he would have gone!!
