With Trundle, Painter, Robinson, Pratley, Craney, Pratley, Tudur-Jones, Way and MacDonald all sidelined, Jackett was forced to make a number of changes to his side.

Fallon and Akinfenwa remained up front while Tate moved into midfield alongside O'Leary as expected.

Amankwaah started at right back with Williams replacing Painter on the opposite flank.

Butler also replaced Robinson on the left side of midfield while there was a place on the bench for 16 year-old striker Joe Allen.
