Are Swansea City Prepared To Sell Neil Taylor?

The Sun - not the best of sources - have reported that Swansea City are willing to sell Neil Taylor this Summer - and they're hoping that he can put himself in the shop window during Euro 2016.

According to the rag, the club - or should I say - chairman Huw Jenkins, is happy enough with youngster Stephen Kingsley to take over as first choice left back, and they're now in the market for a new left back this Summer.

They also say that the Swans are hoping that Neil Taylor has a good Euro 2016 campaign with Wales in order to receive a decent offer for his services.

Some fans may well be hoping that they're actually correct with this particular story. The Welsh international has been under some criticism this season for his poor performances, particular in terms of his attacking play as he struggles to contribute anything to the team in the opposition's half of the pitch.

Francesco Guidolin gave the young Scotsman Stephen Kingsley a chance to prove himself at the end of last season, and he took his opportunity. He was excellent at West Ham, setting up Ayew's goal with a superb low cross in behind the defence. It was play like that that just went to show what we've been lacking in that position over the last two seasons. He also had a decent game in the final match against Manchester City - a 1-1 draw.

It's possible that the Swans are willing to sell him, although I would be slightly surprised if they do. Guidolin will want better full backs in his squad next season. Taylor lacks the attacking ability to suit the Italian's style, Rangel lacks stamina and Naughton hasn't been able to earn a regular place.

Swansea City have already been linked with Moroccan left back Achraf Lazaar and free agent full back Gregory van der Wiel. this Summer, while a striker is also high on the wanted list this Summer.
