Swansea Looking At Newport Striker

Swansea City are one of four clubs chasing Newport County striker Matt Green.

Rivals Cardiff City are also interested along with Stoke and Bristol City.

Newport manager Peter Beadle has also confirmed the interest that Green is receiving and said: 'Four clubs have asked about Matt,'

'He is keen to become a full-time professional footballer and we want to help him, but he will not be sold on the cheap.'


Kenny Jackett confirmed that Akinfenwa still has a future at the club and he's looking for more strikers in the transfer window.

With Leon Knight's future over at Swansea, Jackett will need a fourth striker for the second half of the season to bost our promotion chances.

Yeep...can't believe you haven't heard of him Mike (g4nty), that's probably the first player you haven't heard of . I thought we would be looking at someone from a higher division though...but the clubs interested are all good clubs so he should be up to standard!
