Good News For Tudur-Jones
Owain Tudur-Jones received some good news today after undergoing an operation on his troublesome knee injury.
He flew out to America to see the world-renowned specialist Dr Steadman and after carrying out surgery on Owain, he believes he'll make a full recovery.
Kenny Jackett said: 'We all felt Owain would need microfracture surgery, which he had in the summer, all over again,'
'But Mr Steadman was quite happy with the way that operation had worked and felt it was scar tissue behind the patella which was giving him trouble.
'That's a new thing which has never been mentioned before. He's had it removed now and we're all hopeful.
'Mr Steadman feels he will make a full recovery.'
'Maybe he could be around before the end of the season, but realistically I think we're looking at next pre-season.
'We've left no stone unturned in trying to get Owain fit and I just hope it all pays dividends.
'I think he will play again, although how good his knee is remains to be seen. The proof will come in pre-season.'
Prior to the operation, there were fears that the injury could possibly end his career at the age of just 21 but it's great to hear that he should be back in a Swansea shirt sometime in 2007.
