MacDonald Suffers Injury Setback

Shaun MacDonald will be out for the next 4-6 weeks after undergoing a hernia operation.

Physio Richard Evans explained the similar situation to that of team-mate Tommy Williams: 'Shaun has been suffering with a groin strain for the last six to eight weeks,''

'The hernia problem has developed from there.

We went to see the consultant yesterday and he confirmed that Shaun needed an operation.

'Fortunately the surgeon had a slot available today so we rushed Shaun in so that he didn't have to wait.

'Like Tom (Williams), Shaun will be out for four to six weeks.''

Tom Williams spent around 5 weeks on the sidelines and is now in contention for a place on the bench in tomorrow's home game against Carlisle.
