Trundle and Iriekpen To Return?

Trundle and Iriekpen To Return?

Kenny Jackett is hoping to see the return of Lee Trundle and Izzy Iriekpen when his side take on Blackpool on Saturday.

With Darren Pratley to miss out with a 1-match suspension and Painter returning to Birmingham for assessments on his injury, Jackett is short of options again and will need a healthy boost after Tuesday's 3-2 defeat at Brighton.

Lee Trundle hopes a thigh injury won't affect him in training while Iriekpen hopes to recover from a hamstring strain.

Physio Richard Evans said: 'Lee says he feels a lot better so we'll see how he goes,'

'And Izzy's got a similar chance of making it.

'But Marcos is unlikely to be involved. He aggravated an ankle problem in the Bristol City game which he picked up earlier in the season playing for Birmingham.

'He's not made the progress we'd hoped he would, so he's gone back to Birmingham for them to have a look at it. The chances are he will meet up with us again next week.'

Shaun MacDonald will also travel with the squad despite being the fourth member of the squad to complain of sickness.

Check the site tomorrow for a full match preview of Saturday's game.

Trundle's return to the side is a great boost and gives us a much better chance of getting a good result.
