Jackett's Reaction To Brighton Loss

Kenny Jackett said the ''real Swansea City didn't turn up'' as we lost 3-2 at Brighton last night.

After going 3-1 down, Fallon gave us a small chance of getting a point by scoring in injury time. He then missed a great chance to net again.

Jackett however didn't criticise the striker for his miss and said: ''Rory had a very good chance - the ball dropped on his left foot and it looked as though it might have been an open goal in front of him,''

''But I would never have a go at anybody for missing a chance. We were below par from start to finish, there's no doubt about that, and although Rory felt he should have scored I would not knock him.

''We never really got going on a night when the game was there for us. We had plenty of possession and territorial advantage but were unable to break Brighton down.

''Despite that we got ourselves back into it at 1-1 and then went and conceded two goals from set-pieces. That was very frustrating.''

''It wasn't the real Swansea City,''

''The passing Swansea who create lots of chances.

''We can do a hell of a lot better than that and we will do at Blackpool.''

It had better turn up to Blackpool on Saturday! Tough game but we badly need a win now that we're 4 points adrift of the teams above us.
