Williams Set For Hernia Operation
Tommy Williams is set for 4-6 weeks on the sidelines as is all set to have a hernia operation.
Kenny Jackett is considering bringing in cover for the left back as he is now left with Kevin Austin as the only replacement for the former Gillingham man.
The left sided player has just come into some good form lately after a poor start and it's a shame he'll be sidelined for a month or more as it leaves out left back position quite vulnerable.
Kenny Jackett said 'It's a big blow for us. I've got Kevin Austin who can play at left-back and I wouldn't hesitate to put Alan Tate there either, but it's a possibility that we'll look for some loan cover.'
The Swans' boss was hoping that surgery could be put on hold but physio Richard Evans said it just wasn't possible: 'With so much of the season to go, there's no chance we could nurse him all the way through.'
