Swansea City captain Ashley Williams has revealed that every player in the squad has been given a personalised iPad to help assess themselves as well as the opposition.
Williams has hailed the analysis team as 'geniuses' as they upload new content for the players to watch after training or on the way to an away match.
Explaining the ipads further, he said:
"By the time you get home in the afternoon the footage is already there,"
"And on the bus, instead of watching Transformers, we are all watching the last game.
"It`s great; I have to stop my kids putting their apps on it but it`s fantastic because it makes everything clear for us. When the coaches are trying to say something you can have lads thinking 'That`s not going to work`.
Now we can see it for ourselves and it becomes quite obvious. If you want anything specific, the analysis team will put it on for you - they`re geniuses.
"But the manager has made sure everything in terms of that side of things - all the staff, the medical, sports science and all of that is the best I`ve ever seen it. We`re players so we`re used to moaning a lot but right now we`ve got nothing to moan about. There are no excuses."
Football Focus did a feature earlier in the year on Nottingham Forest's analysis team, whereby players were given tailor-made programs, their training sessions would be analysed along with every match performance.
The analysis team would then assess all of this and put things in place to help them improve in certain areas. The management staff could also access a array of different clips, where they could filter on various categories from defensive errors to individual mistakes.
The opposition would also be assessed and the players would individually be briefed on who they'll come up against - who the defence will be defending againstfor example, if man marking was required etc. Pretty much every aspect of a game would be looked at to help the players understand as much as possible what they could expect from the opposition.
