How Swansea City's Squad Is Shaping Up

Garry Monk's new Swansea City squad for the 2014/15 is starting to take shape now, with key players arriving and departing as the manager moves closer to completing his transfer activity for the Summer.

Apart from the likely departure of Jose Canas, hopefully no other players will leave now following the recent departures of Michu, Pablo Hernandez, Michel Vorm and Ben Davies.

Gylfi Sigurdsson and Jefferson Montero have both arrived in the last 24 hours so it's unlikely that Monk will make many more signings, but as the two team line-ups show below, there is a need to sign a new winger. The Swans lost Pablo Hernandez and loanee Roland Lamah so Monk may well want to add a fourth winger to his squad.

If Ki also leaves, which is a possibility it seems, he will also want to target a defensive midfielder - but there has been no news as yet as to whether or not former loanee Jonathan de Guzman will return for a third successive season-long loan.
