Hughton: We Didn't Deserve Anything
Norwich City boss Chris Hughton was honest in his assessment of today's game, and says his side deserved nothing after losing 3-0 at Swansea City.
The Canaries have won both of their Premier League games at the Liberty Stadium, but they struggled to cope with the Swans - their passing and movement.
The home side dominated for long periods, and apart from a decent spell at the start of the second half, there was no real threat to Swansea's lead.
"It was incredibly disappointing. We went into the game with a good feel from last weekend, and a good performance last weekend,"
"When you come here, against a good Swansea side who keep the ball very well, you have to keep the ball well yourself, and that was the plan going into the game.
"Apart from a spirited spell early in the second half though, where we had the real good chance through Robert Snodgrass, we were up against a team that were better than us on the day."
Hughton explained his team's set up for the game:
"I wanted to come here with a positive team that had two up front who gave us on outlet,"
"In Ricky (van Wolfswinkel) and Johan (Elmander) we have runners, and I wanted to have Wes (Hoolahan) in a narrower role because he`s one that can get the ball and create things.
"We have to make sure we defend better than we did today, though, and they showed that once they got into the final third, they had the quality and the sharpness to cause us problems."
"I thought they looked brighter and sharper than us on the ball and we consequently conceded poor goals."
