Monk: de Guzman Was Our Man of the Match
Swansea City head coach Garry Monk thought Jonathan de Guzman was his side's best player in the 3-0 home win against Norwich City.
The midfielder, who has played in a wide right midfield position in the last two games, scored twice in 8 first half minutes to give the Swans a 2-goal lead at the break.
Jonjo Shelvey then helped Wayne Routledge score a third as the Swans were in cruise control against a poor Norwich City team.
Monk also praised striker Wilfried Bony. He didn't score but some of his link-up play was a joy to watch.
"For me, Jonathan was our man of the match,"
"I thought he epitomised everything that was good about us today.
"His movement, his desire to get the ball back when we lost it, as well as managing to get himself two goals from an unfamiliar position.
"I thought he drove the team on. The other players saw that and it lifted everyone.
"And Bony was magnificent. I think he did about 25 back-heels.
"It was great for the crowd to see, which is why I brought him off with a couple of minutes to go.
"I wanted him to feel the appreciation of the supporters. It was good for our supporters to see his creative side, the link-up play and the tricks."
