'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Team News - Chelsea vs Swansea City

Team news and injuries ahead of Swansea City's trip to Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day.

Unlike the Swans, Chelsea don't have too many injuries to worry about ahead of the 3pm kick off.

Boss Jose Mourinho may decide to rest John Terry, while left back Ashley Cole could return to the starting line-up. Michael Essien also returns following suspension.

The only players missing for the Blues will be van Ginkel and Bertrand.

Meanwhile, Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup says he only has 19 players available.

Goalkeeper Michel Vorm, winger Nathan Dyer and attacking midfielder Michu are his main injury concerns as all three are out with injuries.

Right back Angel Rangel is still out injured and Garry Monk is also troubled with a back problem.

The long term injuries to Michu and Dyer could force Laudrup to sign a striker and a winger in the January transfer window - he admitted to Sky Sports.

Laudrup will want to rotate his starting line-up somewhat as they face a busy schedule of fixtures with a trip to Aston Villa just two days later.

Leon Britton, Roland Lamah and Jordi Amat could come in to the side to help rest some of those who faced Everton a few day ago.
