Vorm: Bony Can Score 15-20 Goals This Season
Swansea City goalkeeper Michel Vorm has every confidence that Wilfried Bony can be a success at the club, despite an indifferent start to his career in South Wales - you could say.
Despite scoring 6 goals in 12 appearances so far this season, Swans fans are divided in their early opinion on their record signing from Vitesse.
The £12m man has been compared to former striker Jason Scotland for his lack of movement, with some fans criticising his performances and his struggle to compliment Michu as an attacking partnership.
Early criticisms of the player is harsh. He's clearly used to having more time on the ball when he was in the Dutch top division, as defenders are able to dispossess him by double-marking. However, he gets fouled often, and therefore wins free-kicks and creates space for his team-mates as defenders appear scared of the strength and power he has.
Vorm says he's 'bizarrely strong' and shoots so hard in training that it's 'not normal':
'In the dressing room you see just what a monster he is.
'Physically he is bizarrely strong. He can really scare you senseless.
'He is still not playing as much as he would like, but he has already scored six times.
'In training you see he is a real goal machine but he goes about his business very quietly.
'And he shoots so hard, it's not normal.'
Comparing him with Manchester United's Robin van Persie, Vorm added:
'When I think about Robin I always think about ballet. Everything he does is so graceful.
'Bony is a very different player, a powerful African, but also has good technique.
'If he plays every week he will score 15 or 20 goals. I'm 100 per cent sure of it.'
