Trundle Looks Set To Return

Striker Lee Trundle is set to return from injury this Friday when Tranmere visit the Liberty Stadium.

Trundle returned to training yesterday after missing the last 5 games because of a hamstring problem.

He came through a tough training session with physio Richard Evans and he said: 'He came through the session well,''

'We've still got to treat him conservatively as it's only been two weeks since he picked up the hamstring injury.

'But as long as he continues to progress at his current rate then he should be available for selection come Friday.''

Kevin Austin is also back in training after also having a hamstring injury while Owain Tudur-Jones is making good progress after making the substitute's bench in the last 2 games.

The midfielder is set to start in a reserve team friendly at Hereford tonight.

Jackett will be without Dennis Lawrence though as the defender is on International duty with Trinidad & Tobago.

what has happened with him this season ? he has been nowhere near as prolific as last season as far as a neutral can see ! good game for him to come back to as well !

Knight's been playing well and scoring more frequently and along with injury, he hasn't played that many games so far this season.

is there any truth in the rumours he has been speaking about a move to millmoor?

cant see it mate hes well happy where he is and trust me you wont beleve the rumors that emerge about the bloke last year he was linked with espanyol lol. lets just hope jacket sees the light and plays him and knight togeather coz if we play the ball on the floor we havent got to play a big man upfront with eather one of them. with trundles flicks and knights pace it can onley be good plus defences cant keep the pair of them quiet when there on its imposable if we can get the pair of them scoring and playing well togeather it will be one of the best strike partnerships outside the prem. without a doubt.
