Laudrup Delighted To Get Back To Winning Ways
Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup said he was delighted to see his side get back to winning and goalscoring ways at home against QPR.
The Swans saw their 7-game unbeaten run come to an end last week away at West Ham United, and Laudrup insisted that today's game against the League's bottom side was a must-win game to get closer to their 40-point target.
Laudrup shared his reaction to the 4-1 home win with the official site:
"The overall performance was very good," he said. "We were excellent in the first half, scored two goals, but then it became more open when they scored.
"But I was very pleased when Pablo scored the third goal and after we scored the fourth goal, I thought we were completely in control.
"I was pleased we scored four goals after two league games without scoring, and the first half was similar to when we played West Brom.
"We had a bit of luck with the first couple of goals but overall it was a great performance and I`m delighted with the win."
Laudrup also picked out Michu for special praise after scoring two goals to end his goalless spell:
"He isn`t even really a centre forward,"
"He is an offensive midfielder who can also play as a striker and is someone who can score goals.
"If he goes four or five games without a goal it doesn`t really matter. Even when he isn`t getting the chances he still does plenty of other work for the team."
