Jonathan de Guzman said he would love to stay at Swansea City as Michael Laudrup looks to make his loan move a permanent one.
The Dutch midfielder made a rather slow start to his spell at the Liberty Stadium this season, but he is improving with every game. On Saturday, he produced rguably his best performance yet in a Swansea shirt - rounding off an excellent display with two goals, one from a direct free-kick and one in a team-move that was simply sublime.
de Guzman told Wales Online:
"Of course I would love to stay.
"I am happy here so we will see what happens. It is going well, I have scored six goals so I`m a happy camper.
"If there is an opportunity I would really love to stay. I am very happy here.
"It`s a great group, not just the players, but the guys around the place., the staff and the fans.
"It`s a family club and I really like that. There is something good happening here and I like being part of it."
de Guzman is also hoping that he can earn a call-up to the Holland side, as the assistant manager Danny Blind was in the stands to see him net a brace on the weekend. He added:
"I was aware there was someone here watching - that`s why I scored the two goals!
"They are keeping an eye on a couple of the Dutch players here and I think I had a decent game.
"I am very happy with how it went so we`ll see what happens in the future."
