Replacements Needed Before Departures

Replacements Needed Before Departures

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup insists that he will need to buy replacements before Danny Graham or any other player leaves this month.

Laudrup hasn't definitely said that Graham will be leaving, admitting he might stay or leave, but before he does, he'll need a replacement frontman.

Stoke City's Kenwyne Jones has been a target recently, quite surprisingly, but manager Tony Pulis has put a £4.5m asking price on the Trinidad and Tobago international. A fee that the Swans are unlikely to pay, as they've proved they can buy bargains abroad for half the price.

Laudrup told Sky Sports:

In the end it's always about the balance of the team. Of course it is important as well what the players feel. It's a combination of everything about the player, about the club and about the team,'

'In the end you make a decision and that's it. But Danny is 100 per cent professional in training and in games. We do not know what will happen - he may leave, he may stay.

'We have to find the best solution for everybody.'

While it may seem stupid to sell a player that has been scoring goals regularly recently, Laudrup probably won't want a player who appears to be very keen to leave and return closer to home up North.

What are your views on Danny Graham and his possible departure this month?
