Laudrup Praises Graham After Arsenal Cup Tie

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup was pleased with Danny Graham's performance having scored his third successive goal in today's 2-2 draw at home against Arsenal in the FA Cup Third Round.

Graham's future at the club is in doubt in this month's transfer window, as he openly stated that he isn't happy with a lack of first team opportunities, and he could listen to offers if they come in. They look like they will, as Norwich City, Reading and Sunderland are some of the clubs being linked with the player, who is being tipped at costing around 5m.

The 27 year-old has done a lot of talking on the pitch recently too, with 3 goals in the last 3 games, the striker has given Laudrup plenty of food for thought, and he might just be the man to fill that lone strike role for the rest of the season. There's certainly no other strikers at the club that can deliver goals on a regular basis.

Laudrup spoke about Graham, having decided to keep him in the team despite possible media distractions, and said:

'Michu was not at 100%. He has had an ankle injury and has a back problem,'

'I could have started him and he could have played an hour but I wanted to see if Danny, after two goals in two games, could keep up his momentum and he did.

'He worked hard, had a great spirit, and last couple of games we have seen the Danny we saw at the end of season.

'Not just his scoring but making the right runs when we have the ball, and he looks fit and confident and that is positive for us.'
