Laudrup: Michu Won't Leave, He Doesn't Want To
Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup is completely confident that his star man Michu will stay in January as he is 'happy' and 'doesn't want to leave'.
The club's top goalscorer has of course attracted a lot of attention so far this season, and much has been said about whether or not the Swans will be able to keep him beyond the January transfer window.
Laudrup has previously said that in today's British market of footballers, Michu would cost up to £30m - compared to the mere £2m they paid Rayo Vallecano for his services last Summer.
The Swansea manager told Sky Sports:
'There is no way he will leave, It is absolutely out of the question.
'One reason is because it is so difficult to get someone in right now, and the second is that he is happy here and doesn't want to leave.
'Newcastle have just lost their top scorer mid-season and that is obviously very bad, especially because it is not easy to find a guy who scores goals like him.'
One player that could leave is striker Danny Graham, who has hinted that he may want to consider offers from other clubs depending on how his discussions go with Michael Laudrup, who is set to hold talks with him regarding his role within the squad. The likes of Reading, Norwich City and Sunderland have been linked with the 27 year-old.
