Jol: We Gave Swansea 2 Easy Goals To Win

Fulham boss Martin Jol said his side 'presented' Swansea City with the two goals they needed to win today at Craven Cottage.

Fulham were in much need of a win as they had only won 1 game in the previous eleven, that poor form has seen them drop down into 14th place in the Premier League table.

Their number 1 goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer was out injured which meant former Swansea City target, David Stockdale started in between the sticks. Jol didn't want to blame his goalkeeper for the defeat, but suggested that his side gifted Swansea their goals. The first came when Nathan Dyer's shot was parried for Graham to volley home. The second was a more clear-cut goalkeeping error. Stockdale's poor clearance saw the ball drop to Dyer, who squared it to de Guzman who finished well.

'I can't blame 90% of my players. They gave everything, they did everything. The only one who didn't have the best Christmas Day was my goalkeeper and he's a very good goalkeeper,'

'I won't blame him but you can see that we gave them the two goals - simple. I feel that the first goal we presented to them and the second goal was almost a Christmas gift.

'I don't think if you play in the way we played today that you will have these sorts of disappointing results, because you will pick up points. We made it difficult for them, tactically it was probably our best game over the last couple of months. I really enjoyed watching us.'

Fulham had the better spells of possession and chances, but once again, the Swansea defence should take a lot of the plaudits for a solid display to help the team take all three points on their way back from London.
