Laudrup: We Could Have Won At Reading

Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup believed his side could have won at Reading this afternoon.

As Laudrup says, his side dominated for long spells whilst Reading had to rely mostly on set pieces, but the Swans couldn't find the breakthrough and had to settle for a goalless draw at the Madejski Stadium.

"I`m satisfied with the performance,"

"We dominated the game for long spells and although we only had four or five chances, we could have won the game.

"They (Reading) came more into the game in second half but it was only in the last 10 or 15 minutes when they had a lot of corners and throw-ins. We knew they relied on those but I thought we dealt with that threat well.

"It was a difficult game for us mentally, because we were playing the bottom club on their own ground just a few days after we played the top team and got a draw.

"So it`s really positive for us that we can maintain the same attitude and focus in both games."

Laudrup also spoke about getting to 25 points, and admitted it was more points than they expected to have at this stage. 40 and safety will be the next target before they can look any higher:

"It`s a moment to stop and reflect,"

"We`ve got 25 points and that is more than I thought we would have at this stage. Nearly half the players who have started most of the games were new players this year.

"They have had to adapt and it`s great to have the points we have at this stage of the season. For now the target is to reach 40 points and when we do that we can start to look at another target with however games we have left."
