Leeds To Bid £275,000 For Swansea Defender?

Leeds To Bid £275,000 For Swansea Defender?

The Daily Mail believe that Leeds United are preparing to bid £275,000 for Swansea City defender Alan Tate.

Leeds manager Neil Warnock has contributed their improved run of form recently to the loan signings of Alan Tate and Jerome Thomas, as they have won 4 games in the last 5.

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup could well be tempted to sell the 30 year-old in the January transfer window as he is clearly nowhere near his first team plans this season.

Laudrup could possibly add another defender to his squad in the New Year after stating that he was interested in strengthening all areas of his team in the upcoming transfer window. Also, Chico Flores, Ashley Williams, Garry Monk and Kyle Bartley are all ahead of him in the pecking order.

It would be a shame to see Tate go, given that he has been such a fantastic servant to the club since first playing for us in League Two on loan ten years ago. However, it's fair to say he isn't up to Premiership standard and would enjoy playing weekly first team football with Leeds in the Championship.

I'll be sorry to see Alan Tate go, what a servant he's been for the club. in my opinion he's worth more than £275,000. But saying that he deserves a future at a good club.

He deserves to be playing regular football but I think half a million would be a better deal, he's worth that
