'Very Happy' Michu Plays Down Transfer Speculation

'Very Happy' Michu Plays Down Transfer Speculation

Michu has played down speculation linking him with a move in the January transfer window, saying he's 'very happy' at Swansea City.

The likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Genoa, Napoli and Athletic Madrid have been some of the clubs linked with a move for the Spanish midfielder. There's sure to be many others keeping tabs on him too as he's currently the Premier League's top goalscorer with 12 goals.

Swansea manager Michael Laudrup recently told the press that he believes Michu will stay as no clubs will meet their asking price, as the Dane values the player at around £30m.

Michu himself has told Radio Marca that he is currently happy playing and scoring regularly at Swansea City:

"Right now I`m happy, playing almost every minute and I`m very happy.

"It is always nice that you get talked about with teams like Atletico Madrid, one of the largest in Spain, but now I am very happy in Swansea."

The Swans are certainly in no need to sell Michu, unless the fee is just too good to turn down, and for that to happen you'd probably have to be talking more than £20m - especially for a midfielder who has scored 1 more goal than Van Persie - arguably one of the best strikers in the League.

You would hope that the very least he would give you is a full season after you gave him the opportunity. Saying that, I hope he breaks a toe nail and is therefore unfit to play this weekend...
