Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup hailed his side's 2-1 win at Newcastle United as their best away performance of the season.
While the home boss, Alan Pardew told of his struggles of missing key first team players, Laudrup has also been unlucky with injuries, but his side coped brilliantly and a enjoyed a 'fantastic' win to jump up a place to 10th in the Premier League table.
Ki Sung Yeung was the latest player to suffer an injury this week, but that meant Michu could drop back into his more favoured attacking midfield role, and it proved to be effective as he scored Swansea's opener.
Laudrup told the Official Site that he believed the win and performance was the best so far, better than the Cup win at Liverpool and the opening day 5-0 victory at QPR.
"It was a fantastic win,"
"We knew it would be difficult because they needed a win after losing at home last week, but it was a great performance.
"It was definitely the best away performance of the season - even better than QPR and Liverpool.
"We showed some great possession and counter attacking throughout the game and created at least eight or nine clear big chances.
"The only downside was that we had to suffer a little at the end, but overall I`m very happy."
Laudrup praised the performances of Shechter and Michu, but says it was an excellent all-round performance by the entire team, adding:
"He (Shechter) has only played a couple of games since he`s been here,"
"But I wanted someone to make those runs off of Michu and I thought he did that well.
"It was also important that Michu dropped back into his role as the second striker, and he looked really dangerous.
"But I could talk about six or seven other players because the whole team played so well."
