Tremmel Hopes To Extend Swansea City Stay

Swansea City's second choice goalkeeper Gerhard Tremmel is hoping to stay beyond the end of the season when his contract expires.

The German shot stopper currently has the best opportunity to prove he's worthy of a new deal in the Summer as he is currently in the first team replacing Michel Vorm who is out with a groin injury.

Tremmel told the Evening Post that he hopes he can earn a new contract at the Liberty Stadium:

'If both parties are happy then of course I'd like to stay,'

'It's not just up to me it's up to the club and the manager too.

'I'm sure we will have some talks in the near future.

'It's not my first contract, so I'm aware of the situation.

'I know that if I perform well in the next month then it will help me. It should help!'
