French Defender On Trial

French Defender On Trial

Swansea City have taken French defender Sofiane Zaaboub on trial.

Despite the transfer window closing recently, Swansea City could sign the 23 year-old because he is a free agent after leaving FC Brussels in the Summer.

Zaaboub has also had trials with French club Metz as well as Championship side Plymouth, where Ian Holloway is manager.

Kenny Jackett commented on the left back and said: ''He did okay and you can see he's good going forward,''

''But there are one or two question marks over his defending so we will see how he develops over the rest of the week.''

The Frenchman played in a friendly for the Reserves against Bristol Rovers. We won 1-0 courtesy of a goal from yougnster Dion Chambers.

Kristian O'Leary and Darren Way also featured in the game.

if we sign him we would have a proper left back, even though austin is doing a decent job.
