Laudrup: We Deserved A Point At Man City

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup thought his side deserved a point as they lost 1-0 at Manchester City this evening.

After a promising first half, Carlos Tevez scored a superb winning goal on the hour mark to grab the vital three points for the Premier League title holders, while the Swans missed a few good first half chances to take the lead.

Laudrup said:

"I am never satisfied when we lose, but there are lots of positives to take from that,"

"We can look forward to what is going to be a big week for us. If we play like that, there will definitely be something for us in the next two games."

Laudrup also felt his side deserved a point from the game, he added:

"I thought we deserved at least a point,"

"If you look at the game, we knew the first 15 minutes were going to be tough because they had lost in the Champions League and wanted to show the crowd they could win.

"But I thought we had the best chance of the first half with Michu right before half-time.

"At half-time the crowd were very unhappy, so we knew it would be very difficult for us after the break.

"They put great pressure on us, but did not make any clear chances and after 10 minutes it went back to normal. The goal came out of nowhere, but it was a great shot from Tevez.

"Even after the goal we were trying to score and I thought Joe Hart made a great save from Michu.

"Maybe that is the difference between the top sides and everyone else - they only need to have one or two good chances and they take them.

"Normally, we create six or seven chances, but today we only had two or three as we were playing the champions and unfortunately we could not take them."
