Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup was glad to see his side experience that winning feeling again, following their 3-2 victory at Crawley Town in the League Cup third round.
Laudrup felt it was vital that his players experienced a win again after a dip in form lately with two consecutive League defeats.
After going unbeaten in the opening three Premier League matches, the Swans then lost two in a row without scoring in the process, a 2-0 defeat away at Aston Villa and a poor 3-0 loss at home against Everton.
Despite making 6 changes to his side for the cup game on Tuesday night, Laudrup feels the cup competitions are important to smaller clubs like Swansea City:
"The more games we have the better it is for everyone because you never know what can happen in the cup,"
"You get through one round, then the second and third. Suddenly you`re in a quarter-final.
"Especially for smaller clubs like us, this cup is very important.
"It`s the same for smaller clubs like Crawley. It`s important to them and that`s why the games are tight and sometimes you see some huge surprises."
Laudrup was also glad to avoid extra time, as club skipper Garry Monk headed home a 90th minute winner to win the tie 3-2.
"It`s good to get that win. When you lose more than one game it`s really important to get back on track and get that feeling of a win,"
"To win and do it the way we did, coming back after going 2-1 down, it was good to see that reaction.
"I was worrying that we`d have to go into extra time, which wouldn`t have been so good."
