Laudrup's Reaction To First Defeat Of The Season
Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup was as honest as ever in his assessment of his side's first defeat of the season - 2-0 away at Villa Park.
The Dane admitted that his team conceded possession far too easily in the first half - and they certainly did - but they showed an improvement after the break.
However, it wasn't enough to break down a hard-working Villa side, as Dyer, Williams and Graham all had chances to gain a point from the game.
'At this level, the small details tipped the balance from positive to negative,'
'I think today in the first half, we started quite well and we had a couple of big chances. One in particular from Nathan (Dyer) from the edge of the box, but it was a great save.
'And five minutes later they ended up scoring one of the goals of the day, so that's it. Maybe I think in the first half we gave the ball away a little bit too easily, but when we played fast we created some chances.
'We had another big opportunity through Danny Graham, so we had three or four big opportunities.
'For the last 20 minutes we had to risk a little more with four or five very offensive players on the field and obviously that gave some space behind and in the last couple of minutes they scored again.
'That's the small differences, that's what I have got to say.'
