Likely Line-Ups: Aston Villa vs Swansea City

Who is likely to start on Saturday and who played in their previous games, as Aston Villa host Swansea City at Villa Park.

Starting with the hosts, who are looking for their first win of the season, fielded the following side in their previous game, a 1-1 drew at Newcastle United.

Guzan

Lowton - Vlaar - Clark - Lichaj

Bannan - El Ahmadi - Ireland - Weimann

Holman - Bent

Will manager Paul Lambert make any changes? We asked Mike Field at Vital Villa for his likely line-up:

Guzan

Lowton, Vlaar, Clark, Bennett

El Ahmadi, Holman, Ireland, Westwood

Bent, Agbonlahor

A few differences in line-up there. Mike expects a change in defence, with Bennett replacing Lichaj at left back. Also, in midfield, Holman to move into midfield from attack, with new signing Westwood - a Swansea City target - to start instead of Weimann. Up front, Bent is most likely going to keep his place, but this time possibly alongside Agbonlahor?

Swansea City meanwhile will be changed for the first time this season, after Laudrup kept with the same starting eleven for the opening 3 games. Why change something if it isn't broken?

In the 2-2 draw a fortnight ago at home against Sunderland, and the previous two games before that, Laudrup's side lined up:

Vorm

Rangel - Williams - Michu - Taylor

de Guzman - Britton

Dyer - MIchu - Routledge

Graham

However, at Villa Park this weekend, his start will see at least two changes. Alan Tate is likely to start at centre back alongside Ashley Williams in place of the suspended Chico Flores, as Monk might not be fully fit following his on-going back trouble. At left back, Laudrup will have to decide between 19 year-old Ben Davies, and new signing Dwight Tiendalli.

With Ben Davies being at the club since Laudrup's arrival back in June, plus the fact he has played almost 90 minutes first team football - and 90 minutes more than Tiendalli, he's surely more likely to start in place of Taylor.

Vorm

Rangel - Williams - Tate - Davies

de Guzman - Britton

Dyer - Michu - Routledge

Graham

Michael Laudrup will also be boosted with Pablo Hernandez's availability, following his move from Valencia. He'll be on the subs bench, while we hope Ki Sung Yeung will join him, as he hopes to shake off a knock picked up in a midweek international.
