O'Neill's Thoughts Ahead Of Swansea Game

Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill shares his thoughts ahead of Saturday's game against Swansea City.

Sunderland have only played one League game so far, as their match last weekend against Spurs was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch. They began their campaign with goalless draw at Arsenal, whilst the Swans thrashed QPR 5-0, before a home win against West ham United.

O'Neill expects a tough game against an in-form side:

"They`re going brilliantly,"

"Perhaps with losing the manager and a player or two, they might have been in initial tumoil, but far from it - they`ve picked up where they left off last season.

"Their manager I know from a long distance away - he was a fantastic player and seems to have galvanized the club and kept things going.

"Going away anywhere is difficult and it`s a tough time to play Swansea because they`re absolutely cock-a-hoop."

"We have talent and players who are capable of breaking defences down, but of course that`s easier said than done,"

"We`re pretty confident ourselves. We began the season with a great result at Arsenal and it was disappointing not to be able to play last week.

"But we followed up with a good win in midweek and the players are feeling confident.

It doesn`t matter where we`re travelling, going away is tough but Swansea in particular are going well."
